Since our inception over a decade ago, we have witnessed several profound waves of tech innovation and market disruption alongside some of New York’s most accomplished builders. During that time, we have leveraged our spaces where appropriate to host convenings that help foster a deeper understanding of pertinent topics.

It is plainly obvious that the pace and nature of AI disruption currently playing out in real time is exceptional when compared to past waves of tech innovation. We commend and admire the efforts of the various communities out there who have done so much work to bring builders, researchers and founders together, though we believe that stand-alone events are becoming insufficient for the consistent knowledge sharing required to keep up with the pace of change.

In our view there is an opportunity to create an ongoing series of multi-format gatherings to deepen industry understanding, the goal being to sustain a lasting conversation that can evolve as needed with the pace of AI.

We are therefore excited to launch AI Review: A year-long conversation series on the current and future state of AI. We’re thrilled to have partnered with Every on this series. Every has emerged as a definitive resource with a singular point of view on the current and future state of AI. But they’re more than a publication, they’re a builder: exploring key themes in AI by building new technology capabilities themselves. Like so many others, we applaud and admire this approach and welcome their leadership in ensuring this series is a success.

We look forward to exploring new ideas, hearing from experts at the frontiers of AI development, witnessing demos from bleeding-edge products, creating space for even the best builders to learn new skills, and seeing familiar and new faces at each of our upcoming events.

Our first few events are booked! You can sign up for them and for our newsletter here to keep up to speed on all new events as we get them scheduled, including our kick-off event later in March: The AI Review Series Launch, with presentations from Company Ventures, Every, & NotebookLM.

If you are planning to host an AI-related event this year that you think aligns with the series, we would love to hear about it and explore collaboration opportunities. You can submit your event to us for inclusion in the series here

We want to thank our series partner Every, and our corporate partners Rho, NYCEDC, Tech:NYC and Gunderson Dettmer, for supercharging this initiative and for their consistent support of New York’s thriving startup community.

A big thanks also to our community partners below who have been tremendously helpful in the curation of this series, all of whom are either current or recent Grand Central Tech cohort members.
