On June 27th, we hosted Demo Day for our 2024 Boost cohort. Our Boost class is a part of the NYCEDC Founder Fellowship, a signature program of NYCEDC’s Venture Access NYC initiative which is designed to improve access to capital and networks for underrepresented founders across all tech-enabled sectors.

Our 4-month pre-accelerator program included founders who are leading venture-scalable startups and raising pre-seed or seed rounds of funding. At Company Ventures, we provide founders within the program with co-working opportunities, connections to capital providers and potential collaborators, as well as mentors and an advisor network. We consider Demo Day to be the grand finale of the program where the founders pitch their company and share their vision with the broader NYC venture community.

The event kicked off with a welcome from our CEO Matt Harrigan who talked about the importance of public private partnership and the direct benefit to New York City in building a more vibrant and sustainable tech ecosystem. Then, each company CEO gave a pitch about their company, the problem they are trying to solve for, the market opportunity and what they are currently working towards. Their passion left all of us optimistic about the future and we are excited to continue championing these incredible entrepreneurs as they continue to grow.

You can read more about the founders and their respective companies here. If you are interested in meeting with anyone in the cohort, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Together, we are not just investing in businesses; we are investing in a better and more resilient future for New York City.
